Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she won the Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Born as the only daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney had a family of four brothers. The idea of being a reporter for the court in her early years, but began modeling in high school eventually garnering commercials following her move to New York. Her first acting job was as a teenage innocent on All My Children, a 1981 soap opera. Delaney was in numerous of films, television movies and dramas after that. Personally, her professional has not been successful and happy. The talented actress has struggled with alcoholism in the past as well as two marriages that failed. In 2005, she was denied custody of her only child that she had.
